Jamelia just loves her hair extensions!

Jamelia has been one of the UK's most successful black female singers over the last few years. Not only that, but she is another black Goddess who loves hair extensions. So much so that in 2008 she appeared in a documentary about the international hair extensions trade called Jamelia: Whose Hair is it Anyway? for BBC Three.
Born in Smethwick in the West Midlands, Jamelia has a Zimbabwean father and a Jamaican mother. She was only 15 when she first signed a record contract, having impressed record company executives with her a cappella singing, and released her first album 'Drama' in 2000. It was with the release of her second album 'Thank You' in 2003 that Jamelia really made the big time. She made the top three with the single 'Superstar' and also had a hit with 'Thank You', the album's title track. Her third album 'Walk With Me' was released in 2006, which included the single 'Something About You', which also made the top ten.
Jamelia was signed as the face and legs of Pretty Polly in a high profile advertising campaign and also featured in a poster campaign for Reebok, as well as pursuing modelling work and endorsing a number of products, including Listerine, Jaguar cars and BMW. She has also appeared on the front cover of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Company, Elle and Harpers & Queen. A mother of two daughters, she promoted the maternity wear brand Seraphine. She's also been broadening her appeal, with appearances on the National Lottery show and other TV shows, and a move into acting.
Jamelia's appeal is enhanced by her hair, and her hair extensions help to promote her good looks.
